And so, after much deliberation and thought…both Plank and I have decided to drop Aion as the next MMO of choice.

After preordering the collectors edition through my favourite game purchase spot Mightyape and after I received my preorder BETA pack, I realised that this game simply doesnt live up to what it was hyped to do.

“Now now Dante, be fair” I hear you say…I mean sure, its only Beta and bugs and stuff are expected…but stfuppercut. This game reeks of ‘just another mmo’-ness.

Sure it has the redeeming “STUNNING VISUALS” which when you actually look are pretty tits. The thing that REALLY ticked me off about the “STUNNING VISUALS” is that the modelling on the armour (which by the way is sold as “completely customisable and unique for every player”) was actually crap. From the start every piece of armour I had looked like all the textures were painted on and occasionally there was a few spikes or ridges.

The flying was in no way good unless you remapped all your keys and like I mentioned in my previous rant there is no use of “alt” and “ctrl” for showing enemies/allies/dropped items. Which makes it intensely frustrating to navigate the battle field.

Anyway, I dont really think I want to cover too much about the game as I already had a rant before and basically the more I played it, the more I realised that it was dull and lifeless and lacked a lot of spirit/charm that other games have.

So yea, I’m very happy that I paid the $18 for the preorder and managed to play the game hands on before the $120 Collectors edition cash left my pocket…because it simply isnt worth it.

If you have other opinions/qualms with my dogmatic views then make a comment post and I will likely counter it and make you lick my shoes…because seriously if you see this game as fun then you need to go outside, sniff the fresh air, and then punch yourself in the nads until they drop off cause you dont deserve them.
