Alright, so a friend of mine (namely Chro) pointed me towards watching Phantom (aka. Requiem for the Phantom) and so watch it I did.

Firstly dont watch it if you’re a serious anime fan or just watch it casually without thinking too much…because honestly its one hell of a cheesy story line…like really bad.

However it is a fun anime and very easy to watch…theres no horrible plot twists that make you grip the screen in rage, this is simply because they’re so damned obvious.

Anyway as far as the story goes you follow a guy initially named “Zwei” as he is the second test subject next to “Ein” (both are in picture above, Ein is the chick). Zwei has a horrible case of amnesia (yea I know I raged a little too) and he ends up being chased around by Ein until his inner survival instants go: “NAH BRO! I ONLY EAT PLANKTON!” and he nails Ein to the floor.

Long story short, they become two pro assassins and work together for an underground empire which apparently owns half the world for some ridiculous reason…

The usual drama happens, boy splits from girl, boy luffs girl, tries to get back, shit happens OMFG DRAMA.

It was around half way through that I said: “This anime could only get more cheesy if it had a little moe girl in it desperately needing safety…then take a guess what happened:

Anyway she lasts like 3 episodes and has 2 shower/nekkid scenes in between to appease all the lolicon fanboys out there…though god knows why they would waste time watching this.

Anyway I wont continue lest I bore everyone to death. Also note that I did post about this in the forum timewarping issue so some of you may have heard my original rant, others wont have.

I leave you with a simple test. Decipher what the hell this sign says:

Im hesitant to give a rating currently as the series hasnt actually finished and although I tortured myself with 20 episodes in one day, I will give it a solid 7.5/10 simply because its easy to watch, I hope to god they resolve the little girl issue well else it will ruin the series.
